“The L Word” actress Leisha Hailey was removed from a Southwest Air flight after she kissed her girlfriend, fashion designer Nina Garduno. According to Hailey’s twitter, a flight attendant told her that Southwest is a “family airline” and that kissing was “not ok.” Hailey demanded a public apology and a refund, noting, “Hate is not a family value.”
“Since when is showing affection towards someone you love illegal? I want to know what Southwest Airlines considers as ‘family,’” she wrote. “I know plenty of wonderful same sex families I would like to introduce them to. Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. Full Article…

Adam Riches has been described as utterly original, extremely funny and a huge talent
EDINBURGH FESTIVALS 2011
Adam Riches has been declared the 31st winner of the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
Judges praised his “trademark mix of character comedy, anarchic stagecraft and a fearless level of audience engagement”.
Others nominated for the top prize were Andrew Maxwell, Chris Ramsey, Sam Simmons, Nick Helm and Josie Long.
The prizes were presented by last year’s Best Comedy Show winner Russell Kane and by musical performer and 2002 nominee Omid Djalili.
Previous winners include Lee Evans, Steve Coogan and Al Murray.
Nica Burns, producer of the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards, said: “Congratulations to Adam Riches, who is utterly original, extremely funny and a huge talent.
“He will no doubt be seen on your television screens in the near future.”
Riches told BBC Scotland it was “terrific” to win the award.
He said: “You try to ignore it for as long as you can, then when the nominations come out you get a little bit excited and then today I was just a bundle of nerves.

While Breaking Bad has charted Walter White’s journey from Mr. Chips to Scarface, Walt’s wife Skyler is taking her own steps toward a similar trip.

When Skyler (Anna Gunn) finally learned that Walt (Bryan Cranston) was a meth manufacturer in Season 3, she kicked him to the curb. But after further consideration, Skyler asked to come on board. Besides using her bookkeeping experience to keep the IRS from sniffing around, she also suggested that Walt buy a car wash as a front for the business.

Organizers of a Dayton air show said that attendance went down 15 percent amid the weekend’s extreme heat and humidity.
Officials of the 37th annual Vectren Dayton Air Show said Monday that the majority of the audience had no problems with the sizzling weather Saturday and Sunday.
The general manager of the air show said Saturday that about a dozen people were treated for dehydration or heat exhaustion.
A news release said an estimated 65,000 attended the show over it two days, a major decrease from the 80,000 who attended last year according to WDTN-TV.
Lightning on Sunday forced the Air Force Thunderbirds, one of the show’s headline performers, to cut short their show after a few initial fly-overs in F-16 fighters. Full Article…
